Please join us this Sunday for our Palm Sunday Family Service
The Annual Parish (Vestry) Meeting and Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held on Sunday 29th April, 11.15 am at St Michael’s following our Family Worship.
Please do stay on after our Worship and take part. These are really important meetings. At them, elections take place and there is a discussion of the Church Accounts and reports on the business and life of our church.
On 13th April, the Church Electoral Roll and formal Notification of the Meetings will be published. The Report Booklet, including Accounts, will be available from that date on this website as well as in our Churches. Please do take the time to read the report prior to the Meetings.
Are you are interested in serving our churches as either a Churchwarden, PCC member or as one of our representatives on the Deanery Synod? Want to know more about what we do and what’s involved? Just ask one of our Churchwardens, PCC members or Deanery Synod Representatives and we will be delighted to answer any questions you have. Nomination Forms are available now from this website by clicking on this link Documents for Annual Church Meeting 2018. Please complete and return the relevant Nomination Form before the meetings begin.
If you are interested in serving as a Sidesmen, please contact one of our Churchwardens for more information and to register interest.
These will be chosen at the Annual Parish (Vestry) Meeting – two for each church.
A Churchwarden must live in the Parish or be on the Church Electoral Roll. He/she must be an actual communicant and 21+. It is an annual appointment and they are ‘admitted’ as Bishop’s Officers by the Archdeacon at his Visitation.
The Churchwardens currently are:

One third retires each year. Members are elected for a 3 year period and can serve no more than 2 terms (6 years) consecutively. A candidate must be on the Church Electoral Roll (and have been on it for the preceding 6 months), an actual communicant and 16+.
This year four members will be completing terms of office: Rebecca Brown, Kay Clarke, Mandy James and Jean Robinson.
