About

Welcome to the Parish of St Michael’s Church, Linby cum St James’ Church, Papplewick.

We are a vibrant parish church which loves to live out our mission to “Live, worship and proclaim Christ – unchanging, in a changing world”. Our growing congregation is made up of all ages and is warm and welcoming. In our worship we aim to offer a variety of styles of worship so that there is something for everyone.

All our Sunday 10.00am services are at St Michael’s, which are family friendly – we are comfortable with children making noise. Tea and coffee is served after the 10am service.

Our 6.30pm Sunday services at St James’ offer a quieter space for reflection and encountering God’s presence. There are also 8.30am said Holy Communion services on the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s of the month.

On Thursday’s at 10.00am there is midweek service at St James’ which is followed by tea and coffee.

(See the Monthly Services page for more detail on our services.)

In addition we run a Sunday School and Fusion Youth Group.

Ultimately, it is our prayer that in all our services, you might know and encounter the love of God, be filled with His Holy Spirit and leave strengthened to live in His hope.
